Scaling Private Investment for Adaptation
This webinar focused on current private financial flows to adaptation, and ways in which these investments can be scaled. The event started with a presentation from Climate Policy Initiative (CPI) of adaptation activities currently financed by private investments, followed by presentations from the Institute for Climate Economics (I4CE) on financing adaptation in the real estate sector, and from the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) on development finance providers’ role in mobilising private finance for adaptation. We then learned more about British International Investment (BII)’s approach to support private sector investment in adaptation.
